“I will always love you”.

When you said those words, I knew it was a promise of a lifetime. i held on to every letter, spaces and character. With those words, you assured me a future of happiness and love and I believed every single word of it.

Then you left with “i have fallen out of love with you”.

I was blinded by my love for you that I haven’t even noticed that you were already gone. Every moment we spend together you drift farther and farther away. i can sense the passion die from you eyes and I knew that no efforts can make you stay. No amount of tears can convince you that I need you in my life, and no matter how much i try to make you stay, it pushes you further away from me. You were done, done with all of us. it was obvious yet i chose not to notice. You gave up on me– on us so easily. Was I difficult to love? have I not given you all I had? Was my love for you still not enough?

Is it wrong for me you still yearn for the future I wanted us to have? is it wrong for me to still hold on and hope that someday you’ll realize that I am the girl who is  willing to give you the world and that you’ll hold me in your arms again? Am I wishing for the moon if I still ask for your love?
